On the eve of World Environment Day, Honda Australia announced it is providing two Civic Hybrids to car sharing service Flexicar, as a contribution to sustainable driving.

The initiative is an Australian-first for the car industry and Honda believes it will assist with the growing demand for low emission vehicles on Australian roads.

Honda Australia Senior Director, Lindsay Smalley said this initiative epitomises Honda’s philosophy of leaving blue skies for our children, which was the vision of our founder Mr Soichiro Honda.

The Power of Dreams is just a mouse click away – thanks to Honda.

Developed by Honda America, the ‘Dream the Impossible’ documentary series features friends and associates of Honda – including IndyCar driver Danica Patrick (pictured left)  – sharing personal experiences of pursuing impossible dreams.

Three documentaries have been released so far; Kick Out the Ladder, Failure: The Secret To Success and Mobility 2088. Honda Australia’s Managing Director and CEO Mr. Yasuhide Mizuno, believes ‘Dream the Impossible’ is a perfect way to tell the story of Honda through new media.

The Honda Foundation, in conjunction with Tynan Motors in Sydney, has donated $10,000 to Enough is Enough, a not-for-profit organisation that addresses violence in the community, to assist with anti-bullying programs throughout New South Wales.

The donation will help pay for handbooks and training presentations for the anti-bullying program that will be run at 27 secondary schools across the Sutherland Shire of New South Wales during 2009.

Chairman of The Honda Foundation Mr. Lindsay Smalley, said the Foundation is pleased to support a program that will have immediate, positive effects at the grassroots level.
